Grief and Loss
Ouch. The World Has Changed on You
A warm, somatic, and experiential approach to painful endings, the disorienting spaces in between, and the quiet rebuilding that follows.
Things are no longer the same, and the world isn't going back to the way it was.
Loss shows up in so many ways: major heartbreak and death, yes, but also quietly inside trauma, where you ache for the safety or peace that was taken from you.
It shows up in the big life shifts too, like a career change, a health diagnosis, retirement, an empty nest, or the end of a long-standing role.

You've Been Left With Only the Black Crayon
Former routines disappear, familiar identities evaporate, and the future suddenly looks completely unwritten.
It feels like someone took away your full box of 64 crayons and left you only the black one.
Outside, traffic moves, grocery stores stay open, and people hustle about as if nothing happened, while inside, your entire landscape has shifted.
Advice to "just stay positive" or "focus on the future" feels hollow, because your mind grasps the reality of the change while your body and nervous system still ache for what was lost.
Stop Rushing to "Get Over It"
Real grief work has nothing to do with rushing to "get over it," forcing fake optimism, or pretending the loss didn't matter.
What it takes is the right support, where endings get acknowledged, messy feelings get worked through, and rebuilding becomes possible.
Together, we blend gentle somatic tracking, present-moment Gestalt awareness, and EMDR, with steady, compassionate support through each phase of the transition.

Move Through Three Stages at Your Own Pace
- Facing the Ending: Every transition begins with a painful, unavoidable letting go, and like relocating a delicate plant, leaving a familiar environment tears roots and leaves a raw ache for the lost roles, unfulfilled plans, and unexpressed emotions. First, we make time to acknowledge those wounds, honor what's left behind, and let your body release the stored shock instead of holding it in, and when a loss carries the intrusive, shocking edge of trauma or lingering regret, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) un-freezes those painful memory loops so the sharp sting softens.
- The Messy Middle: After an ending comes the in-between, where the old reality is gone and the new one hasn't taken shape, like a plant held in a box before it's set into new earth. It's a disorienting space full of ambiguity, and it's also where the essential work happens: pruning what no longer helps, integrating complex feelings, building internal strength, and listening for the whispers of the future's gentle invitations.
- Moving Forward: Eventually comes the moment of new beginnings, being replanted, where you build new routines, discover a revised sense of who you are, and engage with the world in a way that feels grounded and full of life. As the sharp pain softens, room opens for cherished memories, gratitude, and a real sense of purpose.
